I’m Amaya Powell. I’ve always been a creative person with a passion for design, technology, and figuring out what makes people tick. I’m endlessly curious about why people do what they do, and I’ve always had a thing for solving tough problems, the trickier the better!

As an empathetic problem solver, I pride myself on crafting designs that are grounded in the real needs and goals of users. I believe that the best designs balance usability, creativity, and purpose, turning complex problems into clear, human-centered solutions. This key combination delivers measurable results by connecting design strategy to organizational priorities.

Through my classes and projects, I’ve built skills in Figma, responsive prototyping, user research, and brand development. I love using design thinking to understand people and turn insights into memorable experiences. I’m most especially passionate about UX design in EdTech and MedTech spaces, where design can make learning and healthcare more accessible and user-friendly.

Right now, I’m focused on growing as a designer and am currently looking for UX internships for 2026. I’m excited to keep learning, collaborating, and creating designs that truly put people first.
